The children used the purple mash software to create short animations.
This term we are learning all about some of the world's deadliest animals. We will be learning about their habitats and life cycles and what they need to survive.
We made elephant sculptures using old milk cartons and art rock. Then we painted them, look at our lovely designs.

Which materials float on water?
The children had their lessons outside today. In the morning they enjoyed creating Andy Goldsworthy style art pictures on the playground and sketched parts of the school building.
What an amazing day! The children designed an olympic emblem and took part in an obstacle course competition. They then got to meet and question Tim Baille who won the gold medal for slalom canoeing at the London 2012 Olympics.
This term we are learning all about the key features of a river. We will discover how the water cycle affects the environment and the characteristics of a river.

We have been writing a character description for a dragon. Cross-curricular learning - The children created an animation that told a story about their dragon.
Incredible Inventors - We will be learning about inventors and their fantastic inventions that have changed our lives.
Good teamwork and problem solving skills were needed to build an igloo. The children tested various ways of sticking the sugar cubes together.
Today the children learnt about the importance of hygiene, exercise and eating a balanced diet.
The children explored how we use water in our homes and how we could save water. They learnt about the importance of hygiene, sanitation and having access to safe drinking water.

Antarctica - We will be learning all about the southernmost continent and the site of the South Pole. We will be discovering what the climate and environment is like in this polar region and which animals are able to live there.
Deadly 60 - We are learning about some of the world's deadliest animals, their habitats, lifecycles and what they need to survive.

Chocolate - All the children enjoyed the chocolate workshop and they have learnt so much about where chocolate comes from and how it is made.
