This term we are learning all about the key features of a river. We will discover how the water cycle affects the environment and the characteristics of a river.

As part of our rivers topic we learnt about how the ancient Egyptians used to take water from the river Nile to water plants and crops using a shaduf. 

 

We then had a go at using different equipment to make our models of a shaduf.

Today the children really enjoyed creating their our own rivers using trays of sand and water.  They then labelled the features of their rivers.
