Today the children learnt about the importance of hygiene, exercise and eating a balanced diet.

The children worked in small groups to draw around a classmate.  They then labelled the body outline with body parts, organs and bones. The children then discussed which body parts are linked to their senses.

We looked at food groups and discussed the importance of eating healthily.  The children then designed a healthy meal thinking about each food group. Here are a selection of the healthy meals the class designed. Click on the pictures to enlarge.

We had fun whilst learning about the importance of exercise.

Mrs Lowings demonstrated the importance of hygiene with "glitter germs". The children also enjoyed an interactive game, promoting hand washing, on the whiteboard.
